Today I’m sharing a few photos from a recent li’l trip (I’m calling it a ‘staycation’ since we didn’t actually go very far away, but it was still a fun getaway!)
We stayed in a beautiful resort on the bluff with stunning views!
Perks included the free mini macarons and adorable coffee/gelato shop. It was also nice and relaxing to go down to the cove to explore the tide pools for a bit, even at high tide. It was so, so gorgeous at the hotel, especially during sunrise (:
The food was sooo good! Shown here are a couple of our breakfasts: açaí bowls and a pear dutch baby with fresh guava juice!
We also went up to Manhattan Beach for a little while, which was pretty fun!
Downtown was pretty cute as well, some of the buildings looked like they were from another country!
On the first day, my mom and I took a little detour to Santa Monica! (:
While trying to find a parking structure, we took a wrong turn down an alley and ended up in the place where Brandy Melville does their modeling shoots, XD
So after we finished takin’ a few photos, we walked around the shops in the promenade for a while and stopped in Brandy Melville for a bit, as well as Muji for some stationery.
Afterwards, we ate lunch at this cute healthy cafe called Flower Child (which is a super hippie name but whatever, XD)
I got a turkey-avocado wrap, and my mom got the Mother Earth bowl (sweet potatoes, mushrooms, quinoa, cucumber salad, kale, avocado and a ton of other good stuff), and along with the AMAZING kombucha, it was just incredibly delicious 😋
+glossier showroom: West Hollywood
I lovee glossier (check out my mini haul here)!! The showroom is absolutely adorable, and there was no wait at all! The workers were super helpful and friendly (:
Basically, the way it works is you go and try on all the makeup/skincare products your heart desires, then you place an order with a staff member who brings you a bag with your products, and of course, lots of stickers!!
I tried on a whole lot of products and then had a blast in the canyon room!
I bought the Boy Brow in clear, generation g in Crush, and haloscope in Quartz.
Can I just say how much I love this stuff? 😍
Haloscope is essentially a nourishing dew-effect highlighter. It works really well and looks gorgeous in natural lighting!! I got it in Quartz (the medium, subtle, pearlescent sheen)
I also bought the Boy Brow in Clear, which is a brow tamer, shaper, fillet, and fluffer that conditions your brows and is nice n’ flexible all day (wow now I really sound like an advertisement, XD)
Last but not least, Generation G in Crush. They started making these in a larger size than I got earlier, but it’s still all the same colors. I like the Crush shade, it’s pretty bright at first but mellows our throughout the day. I still prefer Cake though, which is more subtle and a nice peachy color. (:
So yeah, that’s all for my trip! Hope you guys enjoyed!!
have you ever visited Los Angeles? Santa Monica? have you tried any Glossier products or visited the showroom?
